"They danced around her mouth whipping here and there with every twitch, so you couldnt help but stare at them as she talked." ((p.23) This is an example of personification. The author is describing the moles around a mean girl named connies face and how they look when she talks.

"His skin was the color of black coffee." (p.26) this is an example of a metaphor because it is comparing skin to the color of coffee without using like or as.

"[...] ripping like a paper towel being torn from the roll." (P.28) This is an example of a similie its comparing 2 unlike things with lke or as.

"A few days after i arived i decided to run away." p.32 this is significant beccuse this is a reocurring thing.

at theme i see emerging is running away from ones problems
